The Best DPS Aniimos in the Final Beta

Damage dealers are the most crowded role in Aniimo — more than a third of the beta’s Nova-stage roster is some flavor of DPS. That abundance makes picking worth your resources genuinely hard, so this ranking leans on the two numbers that separated winners from filler in our testing: ATK (raw damage ceiling) and Total Attributes (survivability and scaling headroom).

All stats below are based on the final closed beta; we will update after launch if day-one tuning shifts the rankings. One spoiler up front: the best Aniimo attacker is not the creature with the best Total Attributes.

Top Damage Dealers Ranked

RankAniimoElementStageTotalATKWhy It Ranks Here
1StellarysDarkNova505145Highest ATK in the entire beta — full 5 points clear of second place. The damage king if you can keep it alive.
2ThornbladeGrassNova507141141 ATK with a grass typing that preys on Water; the best pure burst window in the game.
3IgnitisDarkNova508140140 ATK and slightly bulkier than Stellarys; overlaps with it elementally, so pick one.
4FenmaneLightningNova515135135 ATK with a 515 total — the best damage-to-durability ratio in the lightning lane.
5BlazenLightningNova511135Fenmane’s statistical twin; choose on availability or looks, not numbers.
6IrisalGrassNova511135Iris’s final form; 135 ATK plus regional forms let you tune its lane coverage.
7MalevseraIceNova525n/aRole label was incomplete in beta data, but the 525 offensive statline leads all attackers by total; verify at launch.
8GrizboEarthNova524126The bulkiest real DPS — trades 15-19 ATK for earth-grade defense; best sustained fighter on this list.
9SherroWaterNova517125The only water lane attacker that matters; solid into Fire content.
10CornetWindNova517125125 ATK in a lane better known for supports; a fine pick if your squad needs wind damage.
11GlynseraIceNova520120Highest ice total, but 120 ATK means it leans on elemental bonuses rather than raw stats.
12ScorchhowlFireNova515n/aThe Emberpup line’s payoff — serviceable, but Inferlupa (563 total) is the real fire investment, and it’s a BREAK unit.
13PawneyDarkNova507n/aOutclassed in its own element by Stellarys and Ignitis.

The pattern worth internalizing: ATK spreads from 120 to 145 while totals cluster from 505 to 525. In practice that meant the 140-plus attackers killed post-BREAK bosses visibly faster, while the 520-total crowd survived mistakes that killed glass cannons.

Early and Mid-Game Damage Carries

You will not touch most of that table for dozens of hours. These are the attackers that carry you there:

AniimoElementStageTotalRole in Your Run
CelestisDarkLumin392Absurd for its stage — and it evolves into Stellarys, the number one pick above
IrisGrassLumin397Strong early grass damage; regional forms add flexibility on the road to Irisal
FenrierIceGamma426Best pure Gamma-stage carry in the beta; bridges cleanly to Glynsera
FlameruffFireGamma422Emberpup’s mid step — fine until Scorchhowl or Inferlupa comes online
EmberpupFireLumin329Weakest starter on paper; its value is Twine fire utility and the 515 Nova payoff

Celestis deserves special emphasis: at 392 it out-damages everything else catchable in the opening hours, and investing in it early means your best late-game DPS is already half-built.

How to Actually Use Top DPS in Aniimo

Three lessons from beta endgame testing:

  1. BREAK first, burst second. Guard bars are real, and a Stellarys that dumps its kit into an unbroken boss wastes half its damage. Pair your carry with a BREAK anchor — Shrubclaw (590), Tuckin (581), Tubster or Helgon (580) — then unload during the break window.
  2. Match the lane, not just the number. A 125-ATK Sherro into a fire-weak boss beats a 145-ATK Stellarys into a dark-resistant one. Check the element chart before committing resources.
  3. Dual coverage is DPS insurance. Witchin and Inferlupa are not DPS units, but their dual typings (Grass/Dark, Fire/Dark) let your one dedicated attacker always fight into a favorable lane.

A final note on pace of investment: Nova-stage DPS unlocks are tied to training and resonance, and attack-boosting materials were the tightest resource in the beta economy. Pick one carry from the table above, commit everything to it, and leave the 125-ATK tier alone until your squad’s backline is complete — a slightly weaker attacker with a healer behind it clears more content than a stronger one without.

FAQ

Who is the best DPS Aniimo?

Stellarys, with 145 ATK — the highest attack stat recorded in the final beta. Its 505 Total Attributes are low for a Nova, so it plays as a glass cannon.

Is ATK or Total Attributes more important for DPS?

ATK decides your damage ceiling; Total Attributes decides whether you live long enough to use it. The 135-ATK/515-total band (Fenmane, Blazen, Irisal) is the sweet spot for most players.

Are starter lines viable DPS?

Mid-tier. Scorchhowl (515) is serviceable, and Celestis → Stellarys turns an early catch into the best attacker in the game.

What about Malevsera?

Its 525 total leads all offensive Aniimos, but its role label was incomplete in beta data — treat it as a strong bet, not a confirmed pick, until launch.

Do I need more than one DPS?

Two is usually right: one lane-matched carry plus a flexible second. Five attackers is a trap — one healer and one BREAK unit convert damage into clears.
