What This Aniimo Tier List Covers

Aniimo releases September 16, 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, iOS and Android, and the final closed beta gave the community its clearest look yet at how the creature roster performs in real combat across Idyll. With roughly 90 creatures visible in the Aniilog during the beta, it is already possible to separate the genuine meta staples from the filler.

This Aniimo tier list ranks every notable creature we tested, using each Aniimo’s maximum-stage Total Attributes as the backbone and then adjusting for role value, dual-element coverage and ATK ceilings. Rankings are based on the final closed beta; we will update after launch if Pawprint Studio tunes stats on day one.

A quick refresher: every Aniimo grows through Lumin, Gamma and Nova stages (this list compares Nova final forms); the roles are DPS, Heal, Support, BREAK and REGEN — BREAK units shatter boss guard bars, REGEN units provide sustained recovery; and Twine lets you transform into any Aniimo you own, so a high-tier pick doubles as a traversal and puzzle tool.

How We Ranked the Best Aniimos

Four criteria decided every placement:

  1. Total Attributes at Nova. The strongest signal from beta data — the Nova roster clusters between 505 and 590, and those gaps matter in endgame content.
  2. Role scarcity. BREAK and REGEN slots are rarer than DPS slots, so an equal-stat BREAK unit grades higher than yet another attacker.
  3. Dual elements. Inferlupa (Fire/Dark) and Witchin (Grass/Dark) cover two matchup lanes with one party slot — premium value in a 10-element game.
  4. ATK ceilings for damage dealers. Stellarys sits at only 505 Total Attributes, but its 145 ATK is the highest raw attack in the beta.

S Tier — The Meta Staples

The 550-plus club. Every Aniimo here is a day-one grind target.

AniimoElementRoleStageTotalWhy it is S tier
ShrubclawEarthBREAKNova590Highest Total Attributes in the beta plus a roster-leading 115 physical defense; an unkillable wall that still shreds guard bars.
TuckinGrassBREAKNova581Second-highest total overall; the best non-Earth BREAK option.
TubsterWindBREAKNova580Matches Helgon stat-for-stat; pick whichever fits your elemental coverage.
HelgonWindBREAKNova580A 580-total BREAK unit; wind coverage is a nice bonus into grass content.
InferlupaFire/DarkBREAKNova563Dual-element guard destruction — Fire and Dark lanes in one slot.
MomandGrassBREAKNova562Essentially a grass-flavored Tuckin at near-identical stats; pairing both trivializes early guard bars.
ErlathWaterREGENNova550The best REGEN unit by raw stats; 550 total survives AoE pressure that kills lesser sustain.

A Tier — Excellent, One Step Below

Flawed or narrower than S tier, but still endgame-viable in Aniimo’s hardest beta content.

AniimoElementRoleStageTotalWhy it is A tier
DreapleDarkSupportNova543Top-tier utility statline; dark typing resists the common dark boss pool.
LuminelleLightningSupportNova540Best lightning-support total in beta; easy fit next to Fenmane.
DazmandLightningSupportNova536Luminelle’s near-clone — run either, or both in lightning-weak zones.
WitchinGrass/DarkREGENNova530Dual-element sustain — tankier than Leafy with wider coverage.
MalevseraIceOffenseNova525Role label incomplete in beta data, but the offensive statline is real.
GrizboEarthDPSNova524Highest DPS total in beta that is not a glass cannon; 126 ATK with earth bulk.
GlacyWaterHealNova520The Skippy line’s final form and the best burst healer; 520 total is excellent for the role.
GracewingWindHealNova520Glacy’s wind counterpart; identical total, different coverage lane.
TurboWindSupportNova520Nimbi’s payoff; a 117-point jump from Lumin is one of the game’s best growth curves.
LeafyGrassREGENNova520Cheap, reliable sustain for grass teams; slightly behind Witchin on stats and coverage.
GlynseraIceDPSNova520Highest ice DPS total; 120 ATK means it leans on multipliers, not raw stats.
StellarysDarkDPSNova505The beta’s hardest hitter — 145 ATK, the single highest attack stat. Lower total keeps it out of S.
ThornbladeGrassDPSNova507141 ATK glass cannon; outstanding post-BREAK window damage.
IgnitisDarkDPSNova508140 ATK dark nuker; overlaps with Stellarys, so pick one unless you lack dark coverage.

B Tier — Solid Fillers

Perfectly usable in mid-game and situational at endgame. Do not skip them while building toward Nova.

AniimoElementRoleStageTotalWhy it is B tier
SherroWaterDPSNova517125 ATK is respectable; competes with Cornet.
CornetWindDPSNova517Wind’s best pure attacker by total; a fine Turbo alternative if you lack support.
ScorchhowlFireDPSNova515The Emberpup line’s payoff; Inferlupa outclasses it in fire teams.
FenmaneLightningDPSNova515135 ATK is legitimately strong; held back only by lightning’s crowded bench.
WaleetleEarth(Mixed)Nova512Solid 512 total, flexible but unspecialized.
PiopiotaWaterSupportNova512Fine budget support until Luminelle comes home.
IrisalGrassDPSNova511Iris’s final form; 135 ATK plus regional forms make it flexible, not top-tier.
BlazenLightningDPSNova511Fenmane’s twin at 135 ATK — literally pick by preference.
SomniwingWindSupportNova510Good support kit, 113 ATK limits its chip damage.
PawneyDarkDPSNova507Outclassed by Stellarys and Ignitis in its own element.
FenrierIceDPSGamma426Best pure Gamma-stage carry; bridges you to Glynsera smoothly.

C Tier — Early-Game Bridges

Low totals by design. They carry you through Lumin and Gamma content, then ride the bench.

AniimoElementRoleStageTotalWhy it is C tier
NimbiWindSupportLumin403Great early utility and a top-tier evolution line — but C on its own stats.
IrisGrassDPSLumin397Strong Lumin attacker with up to 6-7 regional forms; Irisal is the real prize.
LunaraLightLumin396Rare special creature; collect for the Aniilog, not for combat.
HelionLightLumin396Same story as Lunara — prestige over performance.
CelestisDarkDPSLumin392Unusually high for Lumin; evolves into the 145-ATK Stellarys.
SparkiFireREGENLumin391Early sustain placeholder until Witchin or Erlath.
PrankyWaterHealGamma426Skippy’s mid step; fine, forgettable.
FlameruffFireDPSGamma422Emberpup’s mid step; park it here while farming resonance mats.
SkippyWaterHealLumin332Weak starter stats, but the Glacy payoff justifies the investment.
EmberpupFireDPSLumin329Lowest starter total in beta; still viable via Scorchhowl or as Twine utility.

How to Use This List at Launch

One warning: day-one balance patches are likely, and Egg Heist can shift the meta toward speed over bulk. Treat S tier as investment targets, not guarantees — resonance, training and Twine skill matter as much as raw stats. This list will be re-tested against launch numbers once servers open.

FAQ

Is this Aniimo tier list final?

No. It is based on the final closed beta; we will update after launch with day-one stats and any balance changes.

What is the single best Aniimo in the beta?

Shrubclaw, at 590 Total Attributes with 115 physical defense, was the strongest overall creature in the final beta.

Who hits the hardest?

Stellarys owns the highest ATK stat in the beta at 145, followed by Thornblade at 141 and Ignitis at 140.

Do starter Aniimos stay viable?

Yes, through their lines. Skippy becomes the 520-total healer Glacy, and Emberpup becomes the 515-total Scorchhowl — mid-pack at Nova, not meta.

Does tier matter for Twine and exploration?

Far less. Twine value comes from movement and puzzle abilities, so a C-tier Aniimo can still be your most-used exploration form.
